Le livre Mathematics in Chinese – Mathématiques en chinois s’adresse à ceux qui possèdent un niveau élémentaire en chinois et souhaitent pouvoir communiquer dans cette langue sur les nombres, les objets géométriques, les coordonnées, les modèles mathématiques, les statistiques, les probabilités et autres notions mathématiques, et même sur l’histoire des mathématiques, la mesure traditionnelle du temps et les calendriers.

Le livre contient des lexiques chinois-anglais, chinois-français, anglais-chinois et français-chinois. Remarquons qu’à l’aide de 600 caractères chinois parmi les plus fréquents, il est possible de former l’essentiel du vocabulaire chinois des mathématiques et de l’astronomie calendaire.

Le niveau de compréhension initial requis correspond au seuil A2/B1 du Cadre Européen Commun de Référence pour les Langues. L’assimilation du contenu de ce livre contribue à la transition de B1 vers B2 décrite, par exemple, par le European Benchmarking Chinese Language Project.

Mathematics in Chinese – Mathématiques en chinois is a book aimed at all those who have an elementary proficiency in Mandarin and want to communicate in this language about numbers, geometrical objects, coordinates, mathematical models, statistics, probabilities and other mathematical concepts, even about the history of mathematics, traditional time reckoning and calendars.

The book contains Chinese-English, Chinese-French, English-Chinese and French-English lexicons. Actually, 600 of the most common Chinese characters are enough to form the basic Chinese lexicon of mathematics and calendric astronomy.

The required initial comprehension level corresponds to the threshold A2/B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Learning the contents of this book can be part of the transition from B1 to B2 described, for example, by the European Benchmarking Chinese Language Project.
